“This year’s annual report shares important information about the utility’s activities and finances in 2018, including the new Customer Service building, the first retirement of capital credits in BSU history and the expansion of our RO water treatment plant,” said John R. Jenkins, BSU executive director. “Our water quality report is designed to provide detailed information on the routine testing and monitoring we do to ensure our water is safe to drink.”
The report includes information about the utility’s performance and projects, as well as detailed financial information. BSU members were mailed a copy of the annual report in April, and both the annual report and water quality report are available online year-round.
The water quality report includes information about the source and quality of BSU-produced drinking water and documents the utility’s compliance with all federal and state requirements.
During 2018, BSU produced more than 3.68 billion gallons of potable water, treated 1.65 billion gallons of wastewater, and experienced peak day water production of more than 13.3 million.
