Earlier this week, BSU participated in the 2024 FSAWWA (Florida Section of the American Water Works Association) Fall Conference in Orlando, where we were honored with two prestigious awards.
BSU was named the recipient of the 2024 Division 5 Outstanding Water Distribution Award for systems serving 30,000 to 50,000 connections. This award recognizes excellence in water distribution system management, including water quality, operational records, maintenance, professionalism, safety, emergency preparedness, and cross-connection control programs.
Additionally, we proudly claimed first place in the Top Ops competition, narrowly defeating Pasco County by just two points! As Top Ops Champions, we will represent the Florida Section at AWWA’s Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE). The 2025 competition will take place at ACE25 in Denver, CO, where teams from across the United States will gather to compete.
