Bonita Springs Utilities Inc. is excited to announce Jewel Mombrun, fourth grader at Bonita Springs Charter School, the Division 3 winner of the 2025 “Drop Savers” water conservation poster contest.
Conducted in partnership with the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association, BSU coordinated with Bonita Springs and Estero elementary and middle schools to inspire students to create a poster depicting a water conservation idea. The contest helps students learn the importance of water conservation in their daily routines and promote water awareness.
The winner was chosen based on the water conservation message, creativity and originality shown through their artwork. BSU presented Mombrun with an award certificate, a $50 Target gift card and a $25 ice cream gift card.
“Jewel did an amazing job, and we are so proud of her commitment to water conservation,” said Andy Koebel, BSU executive director. “The more we can encourage water-saving habits with our youth,
the more we do to preserve our limited water resources now and for the future.”
BSU encourages water conservation by all members. Resources on how to reduce water usage are available at www.bsu.us/rebate-efficiency-resources.
