Bonita Springs Utilities named a Cell Phones for Soldiers collection site

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Sept. 1, 2010) – Bonita Springs Utilities has become a collection site for the Cell Phones for Soldiers program, which turns old cell phones into prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas. The utility kick-started the effort by donating 100 of its outdated phones.

BSU Member-Customers Invited to Learn About Proposed Rate Adjustments

Bonita Springs Water Tower Gets Fresh Paint!

Keeping the Bontia Springs water tower beautiful for miles to see.

Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. contracts workers put a fresh coat of paint on the water tower on June 16, 2010. The crew from Tank Rehab, based in Florida, travels the Southeast repainting water towers.

DEC. 31 IS DEADLINE FOR BSU BOARD CANDIDATES

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.  – Those wishing to run for a seat on the Bonita Springs Utilities Inc. board of directors must file applications by the end of the year. Member-customers of the not-for-profit water and wastewater utility will elect three representatives for a three-year term this spring.

Water Conservation
The South Florida Water Management District is a regional governmental agency that oversees the water resources in the southern half of the state, covering 16 counties from Orlando to the Florida Keys and serving a population of 7.5 million residents.

It is the oldest and largest of the state's five water management districts. Created in 1949, the agency is responsible for managing and protecting water resources of South Florida by balancing and improving water quality, flood control, natural systems and water supply.
