51st Annual Star Spangled Bonita!

Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc July 4, 2010 - Star Spangled Bonita Parade
This year the City of Bonita Springs honored military veterans during its Star Spangled Bonita celebration  with the presentation of brick pavers to local veterans. A Bonita Springs deputy and a firefighter who are veterans will each receive a brick with his name inscribed.

BSU Truck 4th of July 2010The ceremony is but one part of the city’s annual Party in the Park celebrating the Fourth of July. 

Every year volunteers from Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. shows their patriot spirit and dedication to the community by decorating several utilites trucks in star spangled style!

BSU employees enjoyed tossing candy to the residents of Bonita Springs. Some volunteers walked the parade to personally hand out candy and interact with the crowd. There were too many smiles to count!

People of all ages enjoyed the festivities which included music, food, games and prizes.

Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. wishes everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!

Water Conservation
The South Florida Water Management District is a regional governmental agency that oversees the water resources in the southern half of the state, covering 16 counties from Orlando to the Florida Keys and serving a population of 7.5 million residents.

It is the oldest and largest of the state's five water management districts. Created in 1949, the agency is responsible for managing and protecting water resources of South Florida by balancing and improving water quality, flood control, natural systems and water supply.
